"When you are a footballer, you always dream of being in any national team. That's what we work for, to play a World Cup which is the biggest dream of every football player. I could never go to a national team, I never went to a World Cup, not even to watch it. Now that Latina gives me the opportunity, it's truly a dream," said Checho Ibarra with tears in his eyes.
"All footballers want to play in a World Cup, you ask any footballer and they all want to play. It never happened for me," added the former Cienciano champion. Ibarra made a 12-hour trip from Lima to France, then had a stopover of 4 hours in Paris, and then a 6-hour trip to Doha, Qatar.
