Alliance Lima and Melgar will define the final part of Liga 1 at the Alejandro Villanueva stadium, and after a complicated arrival of the Arequipa team to Lima, the intimate squad sent an important message to all their fans through their social networks.
"We are rivals, not enemies. Violence doesn't play", was the message issued by Alliance Lima along with an image showing the shields of Melgar and the blanquiazul team. In addition, the postcard reads "the rivalry is only on the field."
Alliance Lima's message seeks to reinforce the bond between both sets of fans, as a tense episode occurred between blanquiazul fans and the Melgar team at the Jorge Chavez International Airport.
The members of the visiting team's coaching staff were the first to arrive and as soon as they entered, the fans of the victorian representative confronted them.
At first, the blanquiazul fans sang a song about their club. However, within seconds, the atmosphere heated up and the altercation began. According to images from Canal N, the blanquiazul supporters shouted insults and confronted the opponents for some incidents that occurred in Arequipa.

Melgar won the first leg of Liga 1 2022 by defeating Alliance Lima 1-0 at the Monumental Estadio de la UNSA. Yordy Vílchez's own goal in the 75th minute gave the victory to the rojinegro team.
Now, the Arequipa team will visit the intimate team for the second leg to determine the national champion. The match will be played on Saturday, November 12th at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium at 8 p.m. (Peruvian time).
