Sport Boys: remaining matches

Sport Boys received the notification, a few days ago, that eight points were deducted from their accumulated score in Liga 1 by the Licensing Committee. The outlook was bleak for the pink team, as it complicated their relegation situation. However, this Thursday they received good news.

With two matches left in the 2022 Liga 1, the Licensing Tribunal of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) determined the inclusion of the pink team in the Exceptional Sports Regime, so they will not suffer the deduction of points.

Similarly, the 'Misilera' (nickname of Sport Boys) is exempt from any further sanctions, as they will not lose any more points in the current season. This news was celebrated by their fans on social media.

The team from Callao maintains its 32 points in the accumulated table and has a six-point advantage over Ayacucho FC, which is in the relegation zone. In other words, if they manage to draw in the next round, they will be completely safe from relegation.
