Juan Reynoso gave a press conference at the Videna one day after the last training sessions of the Peruvian national team, which included the inclusion of Christian Cueva. After this, the national team is already preparing for the friendly matches against Mexico and El Salvador.
Among many other topics discussed, the coach of the national team referred to Claudio Pizarro, currently retired from football, and did not hesitate to highlight him as the most successful Peruvian in history; even above players like Teofilo Cubillas, Cesar Cueto, Julio Cesar Uribe, Hector Chumpitaz, among others.
“Claudio is our flag in the world for decades. Without detracting from the 70s or 80s generation, I believe that Pizarro is the most successful footballer we have had”, he said during the press conference.
