The Peruvian National Team is continuing its work plan, in view of the international friendlies it will have against Mexico and El Salvador, for the FIFA double date. Juan Reynoso is evaluating the players on the selective list, while those who will travel to the United States are giving their best to be ready for the matches against the CONCACAF national teams.
For this Wednesday, the coach plans to work with his players in double sessions, which currently total 27. Franco Saravia returned to training with Alianza Lima, as he was only a guest for Monday and Tuesday. Meanwhile, goalkeepers José Carvallo (Universitario), Ángel Zamudio (Sport Huancayo), and Alejandro Duarte (Sporting Cristal) worked with goalkeeping coach Óscar Gambetta.
The objective of this day is for the players on the selective list, as well as those called up for the matches against the Mexican and Salvadoran teams, to work on the physical and tactical aspects based on Reynoso's game plan. While in the morning there will be endurance and ball handling work, in the afternoon the coaching staff will focus on more strategic details in order to develop a playing system with the selected players.
An important detail is that Thursday will be the last day of practice with the selective list, as the players will have to return to their respective clubs to resume their work for the next round of the Clausura Tournament, while those chosen for the friendlies will continue with the training schedule at the Videna in San Luis.
In the coming days, the foreign-based players will join the squad, especially those who play in nearby leagues such as Argentina (like Luis Advíncula and Carlos Zambrano). Meanwhile, a second group of players will join the national team's concentration when they arrive in the United States.
What time will Peru play against Mexico and El Salvador?
The Peruvian National Team will face Mexico in a friendly match on September 24th at the Rose Bowl Stadium in California, United States. The scheduled time for this match will be from 8:00 p.m., local time in Peru and Mexico.
The next match, for the September FIFA double date, will be against El Salvador. The match is scheduled for next Tuesday 27th at 7:00 p.m. (Peruvian time) at Audi Field in Washington DC. Both matches will serve Reynoso as a precedent to assess the potential of his players.
