Federación Peruana de Fútbol (FPF) to hold a TV rights bid in Chile
On the night of Saturday, August 6, it was revealed that the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) would hold a TV rights bid for the Liga 1 in Chile, as reported by Líbero newspaper. This action was echoed by the Professional Football Sports Association (ADFP).
The entity representing the clubs of the First Division delivered its statement and stated that this bidding process could have "serious legal consequences and heavy financial penalties" on the participating teams of the domestic championship.
In the first part of the text, the ADFP pointed out that it is a "surprise" that the FPF holds the bidding process in the capital of Chile, which they categorized as an "irregular fact".

"We assume this is due to the lack of properly registered powers by the Federation and its Board of Directors, trying to evade the requirements necessary for an agreement of this nature in Peru. Liga 1 is Peruvian and should be developed within the laws and regulations of the country," explained the ADFP.
Furthermore, the ADFP indicated that there are penalties that the Liga 1 teams could suffer in case the agreement with the Peru Football-Gol Peru Consortium is interrupted.
"We alert professional clubs that they may receive claims from Gol Peru and may be subject to lawsuits," they added.
