Miercoles 27 de Julio del 2022

Alianza Lima was able to maintain their unbeaten record in their goal against Alianza Atlético, and Ricardo Lagos was the protagonist of an impressive save at the end: he cleared the ball with his head and received a blow to his face.

The match Alianza Lima vs. Alianza Atlético continued this Wednesday at Matute, after the problems with the lighting towers on Tuesday night. The remaining minutes were very intense and the blanquiazules avoided the tie thanks to Ricardo Lagos , who cleared with his head and ended up receiving a kick in the face, in the match valid for matchday 4 of the Clausura Tournament.

The action at Matute was approaching the 88th minute and the 'Vendaval del Norte' had a free kick from the left flank, almost three-quarters of the field. Róger Torres was in charge of raising the center and found Maximiliano Amondarain well positioned, at the penalty spot, who prevailed in the aerial duel.

The intervention of the Alianza Atlético center generated a second action and Piero Serra decided to participate. The attacker threw himself in the six-yard box to shoot towards Franco Saravia's goal, but did not achieve his goal: Lagos had a good read to clear with his head, although that left him exposed and received a kick in the face.

The left back of Alianza Lima was very sore and lay on the grass, while his teammates claimed a foul. However, the match continued for a few more seconds until referee Alejandro Villanueva finally stopped the game. Despite the blow, the blanquiazul defender was able to continue on the field, to be completely ready for the match against Sporting Cristal.

Shortly after, the 'Íntimos' sealed the 1-0 victory, with a goal from Pablo Lavandeira, and have a perfect score in the Clausura Tournament: they lead the table with 12 points. On the other hand, Alianza Atlético is relegated in the standings, with three points and occupying 12th place.
