Transport Service for Surfers in Miraflores

Starting this Thursday, February 18, the first free transportation service for surfers on the beaches of Costa Verde in the district of Miraflores began. Athletes will be able to transport themselves with all their equipment in modern pick-up trucks from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the months of February and March.

The innovative service will be available every Thursday and Friday of each week and will have strategic pickup points to transport them from the urban area of Miraflores to the Beach Circuit of the same district in round trip.

The Federico Villareal Sports Center, located at Calle Enrique Caballero Orrego # 376, and Yitzhac Rabin Park, located on Malecón Cisneros, will be the pickup points in the urban area, while Punta Roquitas, Pampilla, Waikiki, and Makaha beaches will be the meeting points in the beach area.

'Surf Ride', as the service is called, is an initiative developed by the FIAT Peru brand with the support of the Municipality of Miraflores and its main objective is to support Lima's surfers.

"Fiat's mission is to make life easier in the city and it is under this direction that a support service is created for the surfing community of our Costa Verde. We appreciate the support of the community and the municipality for the achievement and success of the campaign," says Felipe Sarria, commercial manager of Fiat in Peru.

This service will initially be available on Thursdays and Fridays, and as a complement, Fiat will provide the 'wave report' throughout the week, informing surfers about the forecasts so that amateur and professional surfers know where they could catch their best wave. To find out more, you just need to access Twitter with the hashtags #FiatSurfRide or search for them at @FiatPeru.
