This was announced by Antonio García Pye in an interview with Radio Ovación, where he explained that they plan to travel in advance, as there will be a group of players who will join them in the United States. However, he mentioned that if there is a second friendly match, it is not in the hands of the FPF.

“We estimate that about 50 people will leave Lima and about 15 players will travel directly there. We are evaluating the charter or commercial flight issue, always looking for the best option for the team. The idea is to leave on the 18th to arrive on the 19th and receive the arriving players,” he said.

He also added about a second friendly match, “any decision is mostly in the hands of the organizing company, and they will have to assess the conditions of the opponent, they have to evaluate that more than us, but that goes through filters that we do not handle”.

Antonio García Pye also referred to the large group of people who traveled with the team for the playoff in Qatar. In that sense, he clarified that “half of the first floor was blocked for conference and dining rooms, there was also a lobby for players to receive visits from family members at permitted times.
