The FIFA must examine the proposed venues and give approval to the FPF
This Thursday, the installation meeting of the Multisectoral Work Group took place. At this meeting, the Peruvian Football Federation made an important presentation contextualizing general aspects of the organization of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Peruvian Sports Institute, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, and the FPF participated.
The FPF has been working for several weeks on multiple coordination meetings with the Peruvian Sports Institute and other state sectors linked to this project. As it is known, through efforts made by the president of the FPF, Agustín Lozano, the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, granted the letter of commitment of support from the State for the realization of this great sporting event that will take place in 2023.
This afternoon, it was announced through a statement from the Peruvian Sports Institute that part of the agreements of the Multisectoral Work Group, after a technical analysis, was the designation of the cities of Piura, Chiclayo, Lima, and Iquitos for the FPF to propose them to FIFA for their final evaluation and be established as venues for the next World Cup.
