Young Peruvian Forward Didier La Torre Making a Name for Himself in Croatia
There are few football players who manage to stay abroad, especially in Europe, but one of them who is gaining recognition is Didier La Torre. This 20-year-old forward is forging his own path in the second division club NK Osijek II in Croatia, where he is maintaining significant playing time at his young age.

The 1.80 m tall player is enjoying a good present and is adjusting to the competitive rhythm of the country, often starting as a starter and even scoring his first goal.
Didier joined the Croatian team in January 2022 after his stint with FC Emmen in the Netherlands, where he did not have playing time. He decided to leave there in order to get minutes on the field, something that he has been achieving with Osijek. It's worth mentioning that he crossed paths with his compatriots Miguel Araujo and Sergio Peña in Emmen.
La Torre is Peruvian by birth and was trained in the youth divisions of Alianza Lima, from where he left for the old continent. He would have no problem playing for the Peruvian National Team in the future, once he has established himself in European football. It is also worth mentioning that he played for the Peruvian U-17 team at some point.

After Emmen was relegated at the end of the 2020-21 season, Didier La Torre decided to leave the team and tried his luck at Cercle Brugge in the Jupiler Pro League in Belgium, the country's top division. The athlete was a guest and trained with the first team, but they chose not to sign him, and he subsequently arrived in Croatian football.
