Former players who were figures in Peruvian football will be present in the 7-a-side Legends Cup. The competition will mark the return of Juan Manuel Vargas to the football fields, after four years since his last game with a University shirt.
There are 8 teams confirmed in the tournament: Íntimos, Universitario, Sporting, La Misilera, El Papá, Los Pelícanos, La Academia and Los Santos. Waldir Sáenz, Jorge Soto, Juan Carrillo, Manuel Marengo, José Carranza and Julio Rivera are some of the former players who will be present.
There is a lot of expectation among the public due to the large number of former players with many national titles who will compete for the 7-a-side football tournament title.
Time and start of the Legends F7 Cup
The tournament will start on Tuesday, May 3 at 6:45 p.m. at the Ollantaytambo Sports Complex, located in the district of Ate Vitarte. The match dates will be announced in the coming days.
The Legends F7 Cup will be broadcasted live on GolPerú (channel 14 and 714 HD). In addition, the competition can also be followed through the Movistar app.
