Peruvian Team at Pan American and Oceania Championship Lima 2022
After the participation of the younger judokas in the Pan American and Oceania Cadet, Junior and Senior Championship Lima 2022, the more experienced athletes will have their opportunities this weekend. Between Friday, April 15, and Sunday, April 17, at the High Performance Center of Videna, the Peruvian team composed of athletes like Said Palao, Juan Postigos, Alonso Wong, Yuliana Bolívar, among others, will try to win more medals for our country.
"The Peruvian team has had excellent preparation. Sensei Justo Noda has come to contribute a lot to the team, and I believe that we will see very good results," said Palao, who is also known for being part of the popular TV program "Esto es guerra".
"This championship is very strong. There are athletes, world champions, Olympic medalists coming, but I think we will measure up; we come with everything, we are at home, and we will make our home respected," added the 'warrior'.

So far, Peru has four medals obtained by Noemí Huayhuameza (gold, Junior category), Luciana Julca (silver, Cadet category), Benajamín Galarreta (bronze, Cadet category), and Sebastián Benítez (bronze, Cadet category).
In the Senior category, the main cards to add more medals are Postigos, who competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Wong and Bolívar (both medalists at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games).
