Did the ball go in or not?, a question that remains in controversy after the match between Peru vs. Uruguay, which secured Uruguay's direct qualification to the World Cup in Qatar.

After the scandalous incident on the pitch at the Centenario stadium in Montevideo, all the criticism was focused on the actions of Brazilian referee, Anderson Daronco, for not validating a supposed goal by Miguel Trauco in the extra minutes of the match, as many questioned his decision not to resort to VAR to review the play.

As it is known, the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) decided to report the Brazilian referee to FIFA for his actions at the Centenario.

Regarding this matter, the controversial Argentine journalist, Martín Liberman, considered that the FPF's actions against the Brazilian referee are just to "please the crowd".

"This is useless. It's just for show and to please the crowd. Case closed," Liberman stated on his Twitter account.

It should be noted that the national team will seek to win the three points in the final match of the Qualifiers for Qatar 2022, in order to secure a spot in the playoff zone.

According to the standings, Colombia is behind with 20 points and, if they win against Venezuela, they could secure the spot if Peru does not secure the three points in Lima.
