The coach of the celestial team said he feels "very happy" after adding a new championship title in the ascent tournament.

ADT crowned champion of the Exceptional 2021 Copa Perú, securing their place in the Liga 1 for the upcoming season. Led by Juan Carlos Bazalar, the Celeste Vendaval returns to the First Division of Peru after 31 years of absence.

"I am very happy, Tarma is back to having professional football after many years. We have done important work and achieved something that we didn't think was possible a short time ago," said the coach in an interview with Ovación.

For Bazalar, this is his third consecutive Copa Perú title as a coach. In 2018, he had already won the trophy with Pirata FC and in 2019, he "repeated the feat" with Carlos Stein (the tournament was not played in 2020). He revealed that he has already started a dialogue with the board to determine if he will remain in charge.

"I have already had a conversation with the president. Now we will have a few days off and then we will see what possibilities there are for us to act in the best way in professional football," added 'Juanca'.

Liga 1 welcomes ADT

Through social media, the official account of Liga 1 congratulated the team from Tarma for their promotion: "Tarma is in the top division! The Professional Soccer League welcomes Asociación Deportiva Tarma, the new member of Liga 1 Betsson after being crowned champion of the Exceptional 2021 Copa Perú. Congratulations!"

With ADT, the 18 spots designated by the organization of the Peruvian championship for the following year have been filled. Atlético Grau and Carlos Stein, returning after playing in the top division in 2020, had already secured their places as Liga 2 champion and winner of the revalidation, respectively.
