There are fewer and fewer left. This Wednesday, Phase 4 of the Exceptional Copa Perú 2021 came to an end, in which the first finalist and the other four teams that will fight for a place in the 2022 Liga 1 were known. In the opening of the seventh matchday, Unión San Martín defeated Estrella Azul 5-2, a result that was not enough for them to be among the top of the table.
The team that was able to qualify among the top five was Los Caimanes. Thanks to their 2-1 victory over Unión Parachique, the Lambayeque team secured fifth place. ADT and Deportivo Maristas, who had also secured their spot even before their match against each other, faced off in a match that left the Tarapoto team as the leader after winning 2-1.
The main match was Alfonso Ugarte vs. Credicoop San Cristóbal, which ended in a 0-0 draw and gave Junín's team the chance to directly reach the final. From the second to the fifth place, they will face each other to determine the other finalist.

How will phase five be played?
The fifth phase of the Copa Perú will be played with the top five teams from the previous phase; they will face each other in matches where everyone plays against everyone. The team that finishes at the top will directly advance to the final, while the other four teams will compete in an elimination round (second place vs. fifth place, third place vs. fourth place), where the winners will face each other in a semifinal to determine the other finalist of the tournament. The champion of the competition will be promoted to Liga 1 Betsson, while the runner-up will go to Liga 2.
