The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) publishes the results of the audit on Manuel Burga's management
The Federación Peruana de Fútbol (FPF) published yesterday on its official website the results of the audit carried out on Manuel Burga's management during 2013 and 2014. These investigations contradict the version offered by the former president who is currently deprived of his freedom.
Burga stated that he had never kept the payments from Datisa (a company linked to the bribes for the television rights of the tournaments organized by CONMEBOL being investigated by US authorities) and other extra 'contributions'. He said that everything went into the federation's coffers.
According to the audit presented yesterday by the current management of Edwin Oviedo, these deposits are not visible in the accounts of the FPF, nor are other contributions outside the norms received from CONMEBOL, such as the salary offered to the presidents, as confessed by the former Chilean president Harold Mayne-Nicholls.
TO REMEMBER
At the time, Burga's lawyer, César Nakasaki, stated that all the payments received by the former president of the FPF entered the federation.
"Manuel Burga maintains his innocence and claims that all the money from Datisa entered the accounts of the FPF, something that he is able to prove," explained Nakasaki.
Burga's situation is becoming increasingly complicated.
