Christian Cueva praised David Dioses' game and mentioned that the video in which the Municipal player appears crying with his mom after being called up to the Peruvian national team reminded him of his beginnings.
"There's a little kid that I saw in a video, where he's hugging his mom, it reminded me of my beginnings. I saw him play and said, 'There's a lot of talent in our country.' Hopefully, God allows him to keep growing," said the 28-year-old player to Gol Peru.
David Dioses was recently called up for the first time to the Peruvian national team to train under the guidance of coach Ricardo Gareca. He was alongside other local players. He hopes that the 'Tigre' can call him in the coming days for the start of the Qualifiers for Qatar 2022.
Finally, Christian Cueva, currently playing for Yeni Malatyaspor in the Turkish Super League, stated that he would like to retire "becoming champion with Alianza Lima."
