Ramón Mifflin, former midfielder of the Peruvian National Team, stated that Paolo Guerrero (36 years old) is the player who most resembles Pedro Pablo 'Perico' León, who passed away last Saturday.
"I saw 'Pana' Tejada on a television broadcast who had things of 'Perico' and I said it at the time, but the closest one is Paolo Guerrero," said the former teammate of 'Perico' in the Fútbol como Cancha program on RPP Noticias.
Furthermore, Mifflin added that "Paolo" also occupies that part of the field, which is walking within the two opposing central defenders, annoying and bothering them, Guerrero was very similar to what 'Perico' did," he continued.
It should be noted that the forward for Internacional Porto Alegre also mourned the death of the legend of the Peruvian National Team and Alianza Lima. "Rest in peace uncle Perico León (the best number 9 in the history of Peruvian football). May God have you in his glory. My condolences to his family," he said.
'Perico' León played in the 1970 World Cup. He also played for teams such as Alianza Lima and Barcelona from Ecuador.
