Alianza Lima midfielder Reimond Manco speaks out against racist insults towards Carlos Preciado

Alianza Lima midfielder Reimond Manco raised his voice against the Universitario de Deportes fans for their racist insults towards Carlos Preciado in the past derby. 'Rei' considered that this kind of situations should not happen again.

"That should be completely eradicated. We are all human beings. What is this racism! In the end, I am proud of being indigenous and why shouldn't they be proud of me," said Reimond Manco after Alianza Lima's training at the Matute stadium.

Reimond Manco requested an exemplary punishment to set a precedent and make fans think before doing something similar. "Regardless of whether Universitario de Deportes, as an institution, has nothing to do with those people, I believe there should be sanctions," he said.

On another note, Reimond Manco informed that his continuity in Alianza Lima for 2016 is still undecided. However, his desire is to stay. "I would love to stay because I am a fan and because it was very difficult for me to be here, but that depends not only on me," he pointed out.

The topic of the Peruvian National Team is not foreign to Reimond Manco. The midfielder believes that the national team can achieve a good result, although this time they will have to make a great effort. "We need to adjust and hope to win because we know the quality that Brazil has, a tough opponent especially when playing at home," he concluded.
