Peruvian U-15 National Team falls to Belgium
The Peruvian U-15 National Team could not beat Belgium in the second match of Group A in the South American U-15 Championship, currently taking place in Luque, Paraguay. The Peruvian team lost 2-1 against the Belgians.
After a goalless draw against Bolivia, Edgar Teixera's team was looking to secure their first victory against the European team, who have been invited to the Conmebol tournament.
Martens put the Belgians ahead in the 20th minute. In the second half, Abul Cámara increased the advantage with a well-executed penalty. The Peruvians attempted to score without much success, and only managed to reduce the deficit 4 minutes before the end with a goal from Tandazo.
Now, the team will be seeking their first win to keep their chances of advancing to the next round alive. They will face Colombia on Wednesday, November 27th at 4:00 PM.
