Sad news for Peruvian referee Diego Haro came from the offices of Conmebol. The organization decided to remove him from the Copa Libertadores final between River Plate and Flamengo, which will take place on Saturday, 23 at the Monumental de Ate Stadium.

"Due to a violation of the internal arbitration policy, the Referee Commission decided to replace the VAR Referee for the final to be played next Saturday," says the official statement from Conmebol.

What was his violation?
He broke the protocols and gave interviews without Conmebol's permission. He talked about the River Plate players and the team's revolution under Marcelo Gallardo.

Therefore, to avoid suspicions, Conmebol replaced him with Uruguayan Esteban Ostojich. Diego Haro was the VAR referee for the River Plate vs Flamengo match for the Copa Libertadores final.

Thus, the only Peruvian in this important match in Lima will be referee Víctor Hugo Carrillo, who will be the third VAR assistant. Here is the complete trio.
