Hard blow.
Pablo Lavandeira left the National Stadium in great pain, after the cream defeat in the Universitario vs. Deportivo Municipal match. The forward suffered a hard foul in the second half and had to be substituted shortly before the end of the match.
At the 31st minute of the second half, Lavandeira was taken down by the 'Muni' midfielder, Carlos Flores, during the cream counterattack. This left him very shaken, to the point that he played little before Ángel Comizzo requested his substitution for Nelson Cabanillas.
Although it seemed like just a blow at first, it ended up causing a great deal of discomfort for the merengue midfielder, who, at the end of the match, had to receive assistance to get into the ambulance due to the intense pain.

So far, the merengue team has not issued any statement regarding Lavandeira's health. The cream coach also did not give any further comments in the press conference, opting for a brief summary before leaving the José Díaz Coliseum.
Universitario de Deportes must "clean up their act" and prepare for the next match against Ayacucho FC. For matchday 15, the cream team has a new opportunity to regain the lead, considering that Alianza Lima is traveling to Juliaca and Sporting Cristal is visiting Arequipa.
