Retired soccer player Willian Chiroque continues to be involved in the sport

After retiring from professional football, Willian Chiroque from Morropon decided not to completely leave the fields and today he is searching for young talents in the northern city of Tambo Grande (Piura), along with the well-known 'Malingas' Jiménez.

"I haven't abandoned my farmland. I am also working with 'Malingas' Jiménez at the Municipal of Tambo Grande, focusing on recruiting young talents. We also organize championships for them to participate in the tournament we hold among the villages in the area (147)", said Willian Chiroque to 'Depor'.

On another note, the popular 'Periquito' revealed that at 39 years old, he still attracts the attention of some clubs: "I rejected the offer from Atlético Grau de Piura because I feel tired from the injuries. Thankfully, they are not chronic injuries, only strains."

"Now, I will plant bananas with my brother. Becoming a coach is not in my plans. And I send greetings to all those who supported me during my professional career," he added.

Willian Chiroque gained popularity in the Copa America 'Argentina 2011', where the Peruvian national team finished in third place.
