Director James Gunn has revealed which of the characters from Guardians of the Galaxy has the potential for a standalone film. Can you guess who it is?
In an interview, the filmmaker in charge of the third Guardians of the Galaxy film singled out one character among Star Lord, Gamora, Groot, Drax, and Rocket as the Marvel character with the most potential for an individual storyline.
Believe it or not, the chosen character is Drax, portrayed by actor Dave Bautista. The choice of this character is not arbitrary, as he features in the most humorous parts of Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Infinity War.
Drax's storyline is complex, as he joins forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to kill Ronan, the one responsible for the murder of his family. Afterward, Drax seeks revenge on Thanos, as the latter was the mastermind behind all of Ronan's executions.
In addition, things will get even more complicated for Drax: according to rumors, his daughter is still alive, and there will be an emotional reunion.
Gamora from the past appears in Avengers: Endgame (Marvel)
