Ricardo Gareca usually gives a press conference before each match, to clear up some doubts regarding the squad, the opponents, and other details; however, the coach never reveals the starting lineup that he will send onto the field.
In the last press conference given by 'El Tigre', before the match against Uruguay for the second FIFA Date, the strategist was asked about the goalkeeper who would start against the 'charruas'. Consequently, 'El Tigre' was about to give the answer, but he realized in time and the press room burst into laughter.
"In the goal, there is the possibility that... I can't assure anything, that's the truth. We will see that as we go," said the coach of the 'bicolor' with a smile.
Peru and Uruguay will face each other this Friday starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Centenario Stadium in Montevideo, and on Tuesday they will collide again, but at the Nacional Stadium in Lima, at 8:30 p.m.
