The midfielder currently playing for Peñarol, Cristian Rodríguez, spoke about the match between the Peruvian National Team and Uruguay that will take place on Friday, October 11. He highlighted the quality of the Peruvian players, to whom they must give a lot of respect.
"What I see of Peru and what I think is that they are very good technically, they play very well from the first minute to the 90th, they don't get desperate and hit long balls. There is great respect for them, players of great quality, they have only lacked luck in some matches, but they have to keep working," said 'Cebolla' exclusively to 'Fútbol Como Cancha' from RPP Noticias.
Cristian Rodríguez also referred to Ricardo Gareca, and said that he is a coach who must be respected and supported. "The coach (Ricardo Gareca) must be respected, they are professionals, well-known. I believe that they have to give him all the support," he concluded.
The 'Cebolla' Rodríguez arrived at Peñarol in the 2017 season, where he still plays today. In the carboneros, he has won three titles: 2 league trophies and a Super Cup. Among his other achievements are more important titles, such as the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, which he won with Atlético de Madrid.
