"Happy and moved to be back. It's beautiful. Sorry, I know we haven't achieved anything yet, but it's a great emotion considering all the effort it took me," said Rafael Guarderas.
"I dedicate the match to my family and to everyone who came. Hopefully it's not just for one match and we see it equally full until the end of the year," continued the midfielder who returned to Universitario after 3 years.
"I had the joy of playing a final and becoming champion (with Universitario in 2013, also under Comizzo's management). But I didn't have this weight that I have with the team now. In addition to that, I do believe it is one of the most important matches of my career," concluded Rafael Guarderas.
With this result, Universitario has a 5-point advantage over its closest pursuers (Sporting Cristal, Alianza Lima, and Mannucci) in the standings of the Clausura Tournament of Liga 1.
