Paolo Guerrero: Flamengo coach hints 'Depredador' might have mental problems [PHOTOS]

Jorge Jesus, Flamengo coach, hinted that Paolo Guerrero would lack mental balance after the episode he caused in the match against Internacional de Porto Alegre for the Brasileirao.

Jorge Jesus, Flamengo coach, hinted that Paolo Guerrero would lack mental balance after the episode he caused in the match against Internacional de Porto Alegre for the Brasileirao.

Paolo Guerrero, striker of Inter de Porto Alegre, became the target of criticism from Flamengo fans, especially from the 'Mengao' coach, Jorge Jesus, for everything that happened in the match that ended with his expulsion on Wednesday night at Maracanã stadium and the defeat of his team.

Paolo Guerrero had to leave the field and left his team with nine players after suffering a cut on his upper eyelid following an aerial collision with Flamengo defender, Rodrigo Caio.

"Mental balance is very important. We must be emotionally very strong. When things are going well, it's easy. It's difficult when things aren't going well. I really like Guerrero, but he can't do what he did," said the Portuguese about Paolo Guerrero.

"He took his team out of the game. We also got heated, tried to calm our players. There are situations that we could have avoided, but we did what we had to do," added the coach.

On the other hand, Jorge Jesus also commented on the striking hand gestures he made at the end of the match, which ended with Flamengo's 3-1 victory. Although it was initially speculated that it seemed like some sort of provocation towards Paolo Guerrero, the coach clarified the matter.

"I wanted to honor the deaf people who were at the training center this week and I made the gestures they taught me. They said it means 'Flamengo, I love you'. They taught me and I did it," said Jorge Jesus.
