After the adverse result, the Argentine coach of Sporting Cristal, Claudio Vivas, expressed his confidence that his team will achieve a comeback at home and reaffirmed his support for Uruguayan forward Cristian Palacios.
"I have the feeling that we could have done something more. We had control of the entire match, but sometimes things happen like this. We lost due to our own mistakes, but we have the option to turn it around in Peru," Vivas said.
With the intention of enhancing their offensive, the coach plans to send Christopher Gonzalez and Fernando Pacheco, the midfielders in charge of creating the plays that Palacios must finalize, from the beginning.
Zulia, on the other hand, will seek to maintain at least the advantage achieved with the goal scored at 60 minutes of the first leg match by Swiss-Venezuelan Frank Feltscher.
The forward expressed his confidence that the team will recreate the good image they showed at home in Lima since, as he said, the advantage gives them "confidence."
"In Peru, we will have to defend a little more, but we feel comfortable with that. Our strengths are in counterattacks. I am sure that in Peru we will score a goal," he said.
