There is no doubt that talent abounds in the country, but the achievements of the teams have been overshadowed by scandals and misconduct of some players. 'Banned' Players for '322'
Elite Wolves was the most promising Peruvian team in 2016. Unfortunately, the players' professional careers were cut short by having 'thrown' a game in an international Valve competition. These are the names of the players who were never allowed to participate in a tournament by the company.

The player with the nickname "15 AÑITOZZZ" lost items from his inventory when he tried to mock his opponents. The case ended with Team Unknown's withdrawal from the qualifying match for the Kiev Major and a public apology on the club's social media.

The most recent controversy involves Infamous Gaming, the team representing the country in the Dota 2 World Championship. Hector "K1" Rodríguez had to change his name because he was originally listed in his roster for The International 9 as "old man of 26" (his previous nickname).
Similarly, Jean Pierre "Chris Luck" had to change his nickname because he used to be called "Chris Brown," a reference to Rihanna's former partner who physically assaulted her in 2009.
