Arena do Gremio worries
The playing field of the Arena do Gremio Stadium looks in worrying conditions for the match for the Copa América 2019 between Peru vs. Chile. The organization fights against the time to have the field at the level of an elite match.
"The field of the Arena do Gremio has been receiving artificial light treatment to be in good condition for the match that our @SeleccionPeru will have tomorrow against @LaRoja for the semifinals of the @CopaAmerica", reported the official account of the Peruvian national team on Twitter.
Although it is not usual, Ricardo Gareca chose this time to take advantage of the morning of the same day of the match between Peru vs. Chile to review some concepts when the match is played late at night, as it happens in this case.
The Peruvian national team will play with the same eleven that eliminated Uruguay in the quarterfinals, composed of Pedro Gallese; Luis Advíncula, Carlos Zambrano, Luis Abram, Miguel Trauco; André Carrillo, Renato Tapia, Yoshimar Yotún, Edison Flores; Christian Cueva and Paolo Guerrero.
With that eleven, Gareca's team will try to reach its first Copa América final in 44 years, since it won its second and last continental title in 1975. This Peru vs. Chile has a taste of revenge for the Peruvian national team for the semifinal of four years ago, where the Chilean national team won 2-1 with a double by Eduardo Vargas after the early expulsion of Peruvian defender Carlos Zambrano.
