The FIFA informed on Thursday that about 2.4 million tickets have been sold for the World Cup in Russia, which begins in a week. Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, and Peru are among the countries whose fans have purchased the most tickets.
Since the start of ticket sales, 2,403,116 tickets have been sold, said FIFA, highlighting that Russian supporters have bought 871,797 tickets.
Further back are American fans, who, despite their team not being in Russia, have secured almost 90,000 tickets.
Brazil (72,512 tickets), Colombia (65,234), Germany (62,541), Mexico (60,302), Argentina (54,031), Peru (43,583), China (40,251), Australia (36,359), and England (32,362) complete the top 10 foreign countries with the most fans in Russia.
