The last weekend there were two friendly matches in FIFA, being one of the most attractive games the one played between Germany and Spain. The 'Furia Roja' defeated the current champion at their home and as a result of the goal they took possession of the game, appealing to their traditional 'Tiki-taka' style.
In one of those plays, Iniesta, Silva, and Isco came together to start building walls and almost scored the second goal for Julen Lopetegui's team.
On the other side of the world, the Peruvian national team clashed against Croatia in Miami, and they also practiced a possession game, short passes, and triangulations that are pleasing to the eye of the general fan and that many have dubbed as the 'Peruvian Touch'. But, unlike the Spanish team, Ricardo Gareca's team managed to crown those consecutive passes with Edison Flores' goal in the second half of the match.
Undoubtedly, we are facing two styles that we will enjoy in the upcoming World Cup in June. Spain has already won the World Cup in South Africa 2010 with this style of play. In the case of the Peruvian team, it is expected that this style can take them far in the World Cup, to which they are returning after 36 years.
