Atlas announces the departure of Alexi Gómez

After being separated from the team's concentration last Friday before the match against Puebla, Atlas announced the departure of Peruvian player Alexi Gómez through a statement.

"Peruvian footballer Edwin Alexi Gómez Gutiérrez, who arrived for this Clausura 2018 tournament on loan from Club Universitario de Deportes from Peru, ends his contractual relationship with our institution. The termination of the contract corresponds to various non-compliances by the player to the club's internal regulations," they report.

The night before the game against La Franja, Gómez was caught breaking the club's internal regulations by playing a "cáscara" in a Sports Unit, in which people present took photos and videos that were later shared on social media.

Alexi was no longer required to attend the training sessions that Atlas had this week. He played less than 400 minutes without any glory, in his presentation with the Zorros at the beginning of the semester he seemed to be fighting for a place in his national team for the World Cup in Russia.
