Alexander Callens is focused on just one goal and that is to return to the Peruvian team. The center-back knows that he will have to work very hard to be called up by Ricardo Gareca, and he will continue working for it.

"The truth is that it excites all the players who want to represent the national team. It's one more opportunity and everyone is very happy about it. This important moment that I have at the club is because I work every day, I always give my best in every training session and that is reflected on the field," said Alexander Callens.

Seeks to return

He added: "I am focused on New York City, first I have to be in shape and 100% to think about the national team, and the rest comes naturally. I have always said that everything is possible and if I have to work harder to reach that list, then I will do it. It's one more challenge and I have to take it in the best way."
