The Disciplinary Commission of the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) had initially decided to suspend the coaching staff of Delfin and Macara for three matches, due to the incidents that occurred last weekend at the Jocay stadium.
However, Delfin's sports manager, Edinson Baldeón, appealed the sanction of his club's coach, Uruguayan Guillermo Sanguinetti, according to information published on the team's Twitter account, and the sanction was reduced to a fine of $300 for inappropriate complaints.
The rest of the coaching staff, including fitness coach Marco Conenna and assistant coach Edgardo Adinolfi, were each suspended for three matches.

This match between Delfin and Macara has had one of the highest number of sanctions in this tournament, as Marcos Cangá was also disqualified for one match for receiving a second yellow card, and Jhon Chancellor was also disqualified for one match after accumulating five yellow cards.
On the Macara side, Ecuadorian coach Paúl Vélez, who is seeking a place in the preliminary phase of the Copa Libertadores, will not be able to be on the bench against the two direct rivals of the team for the international tournament: Independiente del Valle and Barcelona. Vélez will complete his third match of disqualification in the first round of the next championship.
The fitness coach David Sánchez and assistant coach Juan Carlos Ávila, both from the Ambato team, were also disqualified for three matches. In addition, players Leonel Quiñónez and Carlos Arboleda were each disqualified for one match for accumulating five yellow cards. (D)
