Claudio Pizarro never loses hope: "If I am in shape, maybe the opportunity will come."

At no time did Claudio Pizarro resign from the Peruvian national team. Despite being 39 years old, the striker feels that he still has a lot of energy to give on the field for the national team.

"If I am in shape, maybe the opportunity [call-up] will come. But when I showed what I could show, I was good for the team," said Claudio Pizarro in statements collected by the media "Kicker".

In the same vein, the 'Andean Bomber' indicated that his greatest desire is to represent the Peruvian national team in the 2018 World Cup. But he is aware that his wishes are complicated.
