David de Gea, goalkeeper of the Spanish national football team, was absent from training prior to the friendly match against Colombia due to a gastrointestinal problem that prevented him from stepping onto the field at the Nueva Condomina stadium.
David de Gea is the undisputed starter in Spain, but this time he was unable to train with the rest of his teammates and Pepe Reina and Kepa were the only two goalkeepers who worked under the orders of the Spanish national team coach.
David de Gea, who had a good chance of starting against Colombia, could miss the match that will be played this Wednesday. In that case, Reina will take his place and Kepa will act as the second goalkeeper for the feared 'furia roja'.

'I see Colombia as a great team, with a fantastic coach with a lot of solidity and a lot of time in the elite, and that's what makes us foresee a great match,' said Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui at a press conference.
Lopetegui will use this match to fine-tune the team for the match in Skopje on Sunday against Macedonia, where Spain is playing for three important points to continue leading Group G in European qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

David de Gea will not be the only absence, La Roja will also go to Murcia without Real Madrid players Sergio Ramos, Francisco Alarcón 'Isco' and Daniel Carvajal, who are off until Thursday after starting in the Champions League final that the Whites won against Juventus (4-1).
