Peru's National Team dreams of qualifying for the World Cup after defeating Uruguay

What I believe about Paolo is that he should be the most important center forward in Peru in recent years, but being a leader is not natural for him. "We do not deserve to be in a World Cup. What I'm saying may be a bit selfish, but I'm realistic. I say it because we haven't worked to be in a World Cup, so if we win a spot to go, that's good because both things are valid and for all of Peru. But if we are realistic and honest, we don't deserve to be in one," he said.

"We are starting to work, yes. I don't know if we are doing it well or badly, that will be seen along the way. Let's not sell that idea to the people because they get excited," added the 'Zancudo' to acknowledge the work of Ricardo Gareca and his coaching staff leading the team in the current process.
