Matías Rojas shined in Racing's debut in the Group Stage of the Copa Libertadores and scored a fantastic goal at the Municipal Alcaldesa Ester Roa Rebolledo Stadium in Concepción (Chile). From behind the midfield, the Paraguayan unleashed a left-footed shot to hit the rival's net of Ñublense and undoubtedly, his goal is a strong contender for the Puskas Award.
Amidst negotiations for the renewal of his contract, which ends in the middle of the year, Rojas is currently in a grace period: scoring five goals in eight matches of the Professional League and this Wednesday he scored one of those goals that goes around the world.
At the 16th minute, after a throw-in by the home team, Racing regained possession: there was an attempt at control by Paolo Guerrero, and the ball ended up with Rojas. There, the Paraguayan touched it with his right foot and, surrounded by two opponents, shot from 65 meters. Racing Club's objective for 2023
One of Racing's main objectives for the current season will be to be a protagonist in the 2023 Libertadores. After coming close to winning the Argentine League 2022, the 'Academia' directors are aiming high and want to make that leap at an international level.
