This Tuesday, the Peruvian U-17 National Team suffered a 3-0 defeat against Paraguay in a friendly match as part of their preparation. As a reminder, the 'albirroja' had recently won the gold medal in the Bolivarian Games Valledupar 2022.
During the match, Paraguay scored their goals through Maicol Ferreira, Derlis Martínez, and Alan Medina, who secured the victory in the final minutes of the game after a serious defensive mistake from the Peruvian team.
It is worth mentioning that this is the first friendly match planned by Peru against Paraguay, and the second training match will take place on Thursday, July 21st, starting at 10:00 am at the Videna de San Luis.

The U-17 team is currently being coached by Víctor Reyes, and these training matches serve as preparation for the U-17 World Cup, which will take place in Peru in 2023.
Regarding the heavy loss against Paraguay, Víctor Reyes, the coach of this category, stated: "It was a highly contested match. Paraguay was effective, we couldn't convert our goal opportunities, and matches are won by scoring goals. We hope to improve for the second match," Reyes said in an interview with Nativa TV.
