This Tuesday the Peruvian National Team will face Paraguay in the last match of the Qualifiers for Qatar 2022, and prior to the match, Mario Villasanti, former goalkeeper and current Deputy Director of Youth National Teams of Paraguay, referred to this important and decisive encounter.
"Peru has chances and depends on itself, the match that Paraguay played here against Ecuador seemed quite good to me, new faces, many young players, I think a new process is opening up regarding the changeover for the upcoming Qualifiers and the Copa America that is coming," Villasanti said on Radio Ovación.
Furthermore, the former goalkeeper who played for Cienciano and Ayacucho FC also added: "I think the names will change but not what the coach intends. Paraguay doesn't have anything to play for, except for the aspect of hierarchy, representing the National Team, and will seek to propose the same as against Ecuador."
Regarding his closeness to the 'blanquirroja' (Peruvian team), he stated: "It is a new process that I am experiencing after retiring from football, but I am happy to be connected to what I love so much. There is great expectation about what will happen tomorrow, I spent a long time in Peru, I am naturalized, and I think it will be a great match, we will be judges of what may happen tomorrow."
