"There is no physical check, just a photo, that's what was handed over, what our experts confirmed is tampered with, what proof can be a tampered photo," the leader pointed out.
Trovato also referred: "The complaint refers to a check from October 18, 2019, and from March to July we have not received anything from that supposed check and our surprise was that it had a date of October 18, 2018, and there a lot of questions arise," adding: "The most striking thing about all this is that in the complaint that we presented to FIFA, it is the GPS location that is the home of the president of APF (Robert Harrison)."
"The whole case falls apart because they say that supposedly it was rigged. If it were so easy to win in Paraguayan football by paying 25 million guaranis, why the hell do we hire players of the caliber of the Olimpia team," Trovato referred to the complaint that led to the lifetime ban by the international organization.
The former dean argued about his accuser Édgar Troche: "Knowing or crossing paths with a person because of my position is very common, but I don't have their number, a chat, or a conversation, which is what both the Forensic Division of Computer Crimes and the Spanish expert we hired investigated and found nothing. When they presented the complaint to FIFA in March, that's when I learned about the existence of this person."
DIRECT. Trovato was forceful in formulating the points that were not taken into account by FIFA before issuing the sentence: "We have provided all the documentation, which they have also not analyzed or asked about, not only providing photo and video material but also material signed by a notary public of the person who was sitting in that meeting where it is stated that a person from Club Libertad bought a phone from Édgar Troche to incorporate false messages."
The leader also added: "We have work being done with the legal team at the FIFA and TAS levels because the process at FIFA is a via crucis that can freeze us for years, and there we must go to TAS, we will ask everyone why they did not take into account the evidence we presented."
