"I truly believe that the merit for this result belongs to Cerro and coach Arce. We are amazed by Chiqui's work leading Cerro and we must applaud it," he said in an interview with Monumental radio on Wednesday.
The club president touched on several points during the "El que avisa no traiciona" program, such as the FIFA lawsuit against him, Daniel Garnero's continuity, and whether the championship is already lost after their latest defeat, which gave their fiercest rival a seven-point lead in the title race.
"I believe that Cerro Porteño has been doing a great job, with Chiqui at the helm of their team. And I think they have players who are performing at a very high level, young players who are doing an excellent job," he added.
