Stage 1
In the first stage, everything that represents the playing field was completed, as well as the east and west grandstands, as well as access routes, changing rooms, press room, technical talk area, team warm-up area, and other details.
Stage 2
In the second phase, which is currently ongoing, the north and south grandstands are being completed. With this progress, the sports venue has a capacity of 16,000 people, more than half of its total capacity.
Although the field can already host local club matches, the goal is to complete the third stage, said Jorge González, president of the Encarnacion Football League, in conversations with the local media TVS.
"In principle, the infrastructure is in good condition, but we have a mandate from all the assembly members of all the clubs to play after having the 30,000 spectators that were agreed with the Binational Entity," the leader said.
The venue boasts impeccable turf and a lighting system that was successfully tested last year (June 21). Erected in the Chaipé neighborhood, on the banks of the imposing and powerful Paraná River, in front of the sub-reservoir of the Santa María Creek, less than 10 minutes from the city center, Villa Alegre captures attention.
With this project, the dream of the Encarnacion people to have a stadium that can host matches of the First Division of Paraguayan soccer or at least be the venue for typical summer tournaments during the preseason will come true.
