Sport-related violence
Acts of violence continue to be seen in sports, in all its disciplines and modalities. Now, during a children's soccer match, an attempted attack with explosives was reported.
A video circulated on social media showing a children's soccer match when a rocket was launched onto the field, putting the safety of the minors at risk, as it fell and exploded near one of them.
Was it an attack?
The incident took place on October 3rd during a match at Chity Fut field, located on Nuevo Hidalgo Boulevard 301-Lt 582, in the Puerta de Hierro subdivision in Pachuca de Soto.
The participating teams - according to local media reports - were Inter Hidalgo and Warriors in a category where children under 6 years old compete.
The match was being played normally, however, it is presumed that a person from Inter Hidalgo's fan club started launching rockets onto the field.
A rocket fell near a child who had the ball at his feet, but when he realized it was an explosive, he ran away towards the bench and shortly after the rocket exploded.

In response, panic spread among the attendees and some of them suffered panic attacks and temporary deafness, while one person entered the field in an attempt to protect the children.
Meanwhile, the coaches decided to withdraw their teams as they could not guarantee the safety of the participants, to prevent the situation from escalating.
It should be noted that parents tried to talk to the venue's administrator to find a solution to what happened, but he claimed that they were exaggerating.
The use of pyrotechnics has become an increasingly concerning issue for authorities and the public, as accidents have increased in various areas of the country, prompting efforts to promote prevention at various Mexican festivals.
