The Mexican Soccer Federation (FMF) spoke out after the violence that occurred at Levi's Stadium, where a Mexican fan was stabbed during a fight while the Mexico vs Qatar match of the Gold Cup was taking place.
In a statement, the FMF condemned the violent act that left a man wounded after being attacked with a knife, assuring that they will work with the authorities to find the suspect.
"At the FMF, we deeply regret and condemn the acts of violence that occurred after last Sunday's match in Santa Clara. We are fully committed to cooperating and joining efforts with Concacaf, stadiums, and local authorities to prevent these acts from happening again in any stadium. We are confident that the corresponding instances will take the necessary measures to carry out the appropriate consequences against those responsible, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured."

Santa Clara Police Releases Photo of the Alleged Attacker
The Santa Clara police shared two images on their social media, one of them is of the suspect who allegedly stabbed the fan in the stands, while the other photo is of a woman who would be the man's companion and was carrying a knife.
The authorities have requested the support of the fans to locate the man who injured the Tri's fan, who was taken to the nearest hospital in critical condition.
