The soap opera that took place in order for Eduardo Aguirre and Matheus Doria to close their signing has come to an end and both players are already reinforcements for Cruz Azul.
This Wednesday morning, the "Mudo" arrived at the International Airport in Mexico City to undergo medical tests and sign a contract to become the striker that the cement makers so desperately need.
The forward, who comes from Santos, expressed his excitement about this new stage in his career, in which he hopes to return to the National Team and move to European football.
"Very happy, pleased to be here at Cruz Azul, a very big team, come to contribute to the team so that great things can be achieved," said Aguirre. "It is one of the goals, to do my best in the machine and why not think about the European dream," he added.

In the last few months, the "Mudo" suffered an injury that caused him to miss practically the whole tournament, but he assured that he is already one hundred percent and is ready to report immediately.
"I am completely fit now, the injury took three months and in the last matches I was fine, it affected me a little and I had trouble with my breath and conditioning, I worked during the holidays and I am already physically well," admitted the striker. "I have lost a bit of ground due to the injury and that, it is a great showcase to show what I have been doing, it has to be reflected on the field."
The last goal-scoring forward that Cruz Azul had was Santiago Giménez, who now plays for Feyenoord, and it is a position that Aguirre hopes to fill, despite the 3 goals he scored in the 2022 Apertura, in his penultimate tournament with the laguneros.
"I had to fulfill that quota because my job was different, I had to do the dirty work and let others score goals, whatever I have to do I will do it in the best way," he explained. "I feel the responsibility of being the number 9 of Cruz Azul, to prove it on the field," he concluded.

The forward also spoke about Ricardo Ferretti and how excited he is to be coached by the Brazilian.
"I am very excited to work with him, he is someone I admire for his career, he will help me a lot to be trained by him," recognized the "Mudo".
Finally, he sent a message to the fans and asked them to trust him and that he will carry the team on his shoulders.
"Have confidence, the goals will come," he concluded.
With Aguirre, La Máquina would close its fourth reinforcement, as he would join Carlos Salcedo, Matheus Doria, and Moisés Vieira.
DORIA UNDERGOES MEDICAL TESTS
While Eduardo Aguirre arrived in Mexico City, Matheus Doria underwent the necessary medical tests to sign the contract with Cruz Azul.
The Brazilian presented himself on Wednesday morning at a hospital in the south of the city to pass more tests and seal his contractual relationship. The defender has been in the capital of the country since last week, a time he took advantage of to complete his naturalization process.
In the case of Moisés Vieira, it is the work visa that has delayed his trip to Mexico so that he can continue with the hiring process.
In addition, La Máquina still has to decide whether or not to continue with the signing of Colombian Diber Cambindo, as the player has an injury from which he could recover for up to two months.
