The National Classic
The National Classic has hundreds of stories, some of them are linked to the characters who have been in both institutions, one of them was Hungarian Jorge Orth Wirth, who was the first foreign coach in history to lead both clubs.
And he was not just any character, as in his playing days he was seen as the second best player in Europe, it is true that his football career was mainly developed in his country, but he also played for clubs in Italy or France.
In the post-war era, Orth Wirth spread joy on the playing fields, as the world was still rebuilding after the First World War. He also played matches with the Hungarian national team.

When his playing career ended, he emigrated to Germany, where he began his training to become a coach, studying Physical Education at the Superior Academy of Berlin. It was the first step towards a career that led him to practice this profession in nine countries and three national teams.
In fact, he appeared in the 1930 World Cup as the coach of the Chilean national team. After that journey, he returned to Europe to train some clubs in the Second Division of Italy. In the 1940s, he returned to the American continent, coaching in Argentina and later arriving at Chivas for the 1946-47 season, where he promoted Mexican players, which helped in the early years of Guadalajara in the professional era.
Orth was one of the pioneers in making Chivas a competitive team, his belief that Guadalajara would transcend was clear when he said, "We will fight to conquer our first championship, and if it does not happen, it will be because God does not want it to happen; but when I die and you become champions, because you will, I want you to wear a little black ribbon in the next game."
After three seasons at Chivas, he left the rojiblanca institution and for the 1950-51 season he arrived at the bench of America, but his journey with the Eagles was not so successful, as he only coached 11 games, of which he was only able to win 1, draw 3, and suffered 7 defeats, which opened the door for his departure from the club, but he left his name in history as the first foreigner to go through the two biggest teams in Mexico.
